Modern-Day Engineering.
Consulting, advisory, and fractional technical leadership.
We help teams modernize software, integrate AI, and improve how they build and ship.
Led by Sean Lachenberg, a Georgia Tech CS alumnus with experience delivering autonomous systems, leading virtual-care engineering, and providing executive technology advisory. Meet the founder →
Three ways to work together.
Modern-Day Engineering means helping teams adapt how they build software, not just which tools they use.
Problems worth a senior second set of hands.
- ✓ A platform or architecture that has outgrown the team
- ✓ A legacy system that needs a realistic modernization path
- ✓ AI adoption that needs structure, review, and clear ownership
- ✓ Delivery that is slow, unpredictable, or hard to see into
- ✓ A technical leadership gap between hires
- ✓ A decision that needs an experienced, independent view
Not sure where AI fits? Start with one workflow.
A short, fixed-scope diagnostic of a single workflow. You get a written read on where AI can genuinely help, what has to be true first, and the recommended next step, including “not yet” when that is the honest answer.
Start small. Decide with evidence.
Founder-led by Sean Lachenberg.
Sean has spent several years leading development teams in regulated industries, from autonomous measurement systems in air-gapped environments at U.S. defense facilities to patient-facing technology supporting 24/7 virtual care at OncoHealth’s Iris. Through OneSun, he has delivered executive technology advisory on modernization, engineering operations, and AI infrastructure.
He also builds agentic infrastructure at LockN. Engagements are scoped to your team’s needs; adopting LockN is not a prerequisite.
